Custom Toolkits

A Custom Toolkit groups Tools you author for a specific responsibility. Create the collection, add its Tools, and attach it to the Workflow or Task that should use them.

Create a Toolkit

  1. Open Settings → Toolkits → Custom Toolkits and choose Add Toolkit.
  2. Enter a Name and a Slug. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores for the Slug.
  3. Save the Toolkit, then use its Add Tool action to create a Tool.

Edit the Toolkit to add a description or configure shared Abilities. These are available to its Tools; each Tool can also have its own Abilities.

Make it available in a Workflow

  1. Open the Workflow or Task's Abilities tab.
  2. Add Custom Toolkits and select the Toolkit.
  3. Save, then test a Chat with a request that should use one of its Tools.
  4. Check the Tool's result before publishing the Workflow.

A disabled Toolkit is unavailable for use. Check its state and the attached selection if the expected Tool is missing.

For an existing external service, start with App Connections rather than recreating its integration in a custom prompt. Programmatic Tool and Toolkit definitions belong in the Developer Toolkit guide.
