Activity
Inspect recorded workspace events. Read the transcript
Activity gives you a readable view of what happened in your Workspace. Start with the recent feed, narrow it by time or event type, and open a row when you need more context.
Before you begin
You need permission to read Workspace Activity. To follow the walkthrough, use a Workspace with existing events; the demonstration reads the feed and does not create an event.
Read the feed
The Recent view opens on daily summaries, such as members added or calls completed. Select Events from Time grain to see individual occurrences from the last 30 days. The other grains—Hour, Day, Week, and Month—roll activity up into summaries over progressively wider windows.
Use the Priority view when you want the items that need a person's attention, such as an escalation or missed call. The count beside Priority shows how many open items are currently waiting.
Filter and inspect activity
Open the Type filter to choose the event types you want to keep in the feed. Use Select all to show every type available to you, or None to show nothing — unticking every box is an explicit choice, not a reset. Hover a type's count and it becomes the word only; select it to keep that one type and drop the rest. The available types depend on the activity in the selected window.
Select an aggregate row to drill into the occurrences behind its count. Select an individual event to open its detail pane. Depending on the event, the pane can show what changed and links to the related Member, Chat, Workflow, or record. For a Chat event, choose Open chat to read the Chat.
Access
Activity requires the workspace:read permission. The feed and each detail view apply the access you have to the underlying workspace data, so two members may see different rows or details. Activity is a product activity view; use your organization's designated audit and compliance records when you need an audit trail.
Activity lets you inspect occurrences and their context. Metrics presents measurements over time.
