MCP Server Connections

An MCP Server connection points to a server that already exists; it does not host or deploy one. Connect it through App Connections, then choose the tools to expose through Toolkits and MCP Connections.

Connection contract

Gravity Rail discovers a server's tools and schemas after the connection is authorized. OAuth details and static request headers are provider-specific. The MCP Servers API reference documents connection creation, OAuth discovery, Member credentials, and the discovered tools, prompts, and resources. See the MCP specification for the protocol contract.

For a custom server, use its HTTPS MCP endpoint and follow the server operator's published authorization instructions. If the server uses a static API-key header, supply its header name and secret in the connection settings. Do not place credentials in the endpoint URL or in a tool description.

Directory servers

These endpoints are the current directory defaults. A provider may change its available tools or authorization requirements; use its own documentation for account setup and permissions.

Google Stitchhttps://stitch.googleapis.com/mcpThe directory requests the X-Goog-Api-Key header; see Google Stitch.

Custom MCP server

Use a custom connection when your server is not one of the directory providers. The server must be reachable at the URL you enter and implement a transport supported by the MCP client. Supply authorization using the server's supported OAuth flow or static header credentials. The API reference documents the public request fields and credential endpoints.

Linear

Gravity Rail's directory points to Linear's hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint. Linear describes its OAuth flow and optional token-based setup in its MCP documentation.

Sentry

The directory points to Sentry's hosted MCP server, which uses OAuth to authorize a Sentry account. Sentry documents the endpoint and connection options at mcp.sentry.dev.

Notion

The directory points to Notion's hosted server. A Member authorizes the Notion workspace through the provider's OAuth flow. See Notion MCP for its current client and tool support.

DeepWiki

The directory provides DeepWiki's hosted endpoint for searching open-source project documentation. Follow the provider's instructions for any access requirements.

PayPal

PayPal publishes a hosted MCP endpoint and its authorization options in the PayPal MCP server guide. The directory endpoint uses the SSE transport; follow the provider's current requirements for the account environment.

NetSuite

The directory URL includes an account-specific placeholder. Replace <accountId> with the NetSuite account identifier used in that tenant's MCP service URL. An administrator must enable and authorize the MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp and its role permissions.

dala.care

The directory offers the provider's hosted MCP endpoint. Use the provider's instructions for credentials and access. Connect only the account and data needed for the intended Workflow tools.

Google Stitch

The directory supplies Google's hosted endpoint and the X-Goog-Api-Key header name. Obtain a key using the current Google Stitch documentation and enter the secret in the connection's header settings.
