AI Disclosure Requirements

When building applications with Gravity Rail's AI agents, voice agents, or chatbots, you must inform your end users that they are interacting with AI. This page outlines the disclosure requirements and provides guidance on implementation.

Why Disclosure Matters​

Many jurisdictions require businesses to disclose when customers are interacting with AI rather than humans. Beyond legal compliance, transparent disclosure builds trust with your users and sets appropriate expectations for the interaction.

Core Requirements​

When using Gravity Rail's AI features, you must inform end users of two key points:

  1. AI Interaction Notice: Users should understand they're engaging with artificial intelligence, not a human.

  2. Data Handling Disclosure: Users should be informed that their conversations may be recorded and processed by AI systems, including third-party AI providers.

When to Disclose​

The disclosure must appear before any AI interaction begins. Users should not be able to interact with an AI agent without first seeing this notice. Common presentation methods include:

  • Separate disclosure screens before starting a chat
  • Pop-up notifications when initiating a conversation
  • Persistent on-screen banners during the interaction
  • Verbal statements at the start of voice calls
  • Terms acceptance during user onboarding

Verbal Disclosure (Voice Calls)​

For voice-based AI interactions, include a brief disclosure at the start of the call:

"Hi, this is [Agent Name], an AI agent from [Company]. This call may be recorded. For our privacy policy, visit [URL]. How can I help you today?"
