Google Services Connections

Gravity Rail's Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Google Sheets connections use Google OAuth for a Member's account. Start in the App Connections user guide; the connection flow handles account authorization. A separate service account or a custom Google OAuth client is not needed to use these built-in connections.

Authorization and account scope

Each connected account belongs to the Member who authorized it. A Member can link additional Google accounts when the workspace allows multiple accounts. A Google Workspace administrator may also need to allow Gravity Rail's app under the domain's third-party app controls; see Google account setup for the workspace steps.

If you are building a separate application that calls Google APIs directly, create and manage your own OAuth client and consent configuration. Follow Google's OAuth 2.0 web-server guide; those credentials are separate from a Member's Gravity Rail connection.

Gmail

The Gmail connection grants the connected Member's account for Gravity Rail's Gmail tools, including reading mail and sending messages. The connected mailbox is selected from that Member's linked Google accounts.

Google Calendar

Calendar connections can link a Member's calendars for calendar sync and scheduling tools. Calendar authorization and sync behavior are described in the Calendar user guide.

Google Drive

Drive connections expose file search, read, and create operations to supported tools using the Member's linked Drive account.

Google Sheets

Sheets connections let supported tools read and update spreadsheets in the connected account.
