One named thing in a slot, and how many of the events it accounts for.

value is the key the client renders — a typed ref it hydrates through the batch-resolve endpoint, an actor principal, or a closed token it has copy for. It is a reading, not a destination: the line's own drill opens every event the sentence describes, and there is no finer query behind an individual name.
