# Member roles

## Member roles

A Member's role decides what they can reach. Here are the five built in.

## Member roles

Manager runs the workspace.

## Member roles

Platform Support is our own team.

## Member roles

User takes part.

## Member roles

External is for people outside yours.

## Member roles

And Agent is for Agents.

## Member roles

Each role sets what a Member can reach.

## Built-in roles

You will find them under Members, then Roles.

## Manager

First, Manager.

## Manager

Manager holds every permission. Its Sites tab chooses which Sites it can sign in through.

## Platform Support

Next, Platform Support.

## Platform Support

Platform Support mirrors Manager. It is reserved for the Gravity Rail team, so you never assign it.

## User

Then User.

## User

User can take part, but not manage the workspace. Most permissions here are off.

## External

Now External.

## External

External is for people outside your team, like patients. It grants no administrative permissions. External Members reach only their own Assignments and Chats.

## Agent

Last, Agent.

## Agent

Agent is a role for autonomous Agents acting without human involvement. For example, classifying an inbound fax and saving it to a folder reserved for Agents.

## Member roles

Those are the built-in roles. Pick the one that matches the access each person needs.
