# Creating Forms

## Creating Forms

A Form names the fields you want to keep structured; Documents hold the surrounding context. Create two fields, then find where records and Event Rules live.

## Open Forms

Under Knowledge, open Forms. Member records keep one set of fields per member; workspace records are shared reference data.

## Create a Form

Choose New Form, named for what you collect — here, Session Feedback. Keep Record scope Member and Collection type Singular, then create it.

## Add the fields

Add Field, and name the first one Visit type — a Text field. Add a second, Preferred contact. Then Save changes.

## Records and Actions

The Entries tab holds the records people submit — none yet. Settings holds the fields, the access each role has, and Event Rules, which can run an Action when a record is created or updated.

## Your Form is ready

Your Form now has named fields, and you have seen where its entries arrive and where its Event Rules live. More at docs.gravityrail.com.
